You must make the conscious effort to RECEIVE Jesus Christ
as Savior and Lord; then you can know and experience God's love and plan
for your life...
First Receive
Christ
- "To all
those who did so take him, however, he gave the right of becoming
children of God--that is, to those who had faith in his name:"
(John 1:12 BBE)
Receive Christ Through
Faith
- "Because by grace you have salvation through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is given by God: Not by works, so that no man may take
glory to himself." (Ephesians 2:8-9 BBE)
Experience a
New Birth
"Jesus
said in answer, Truly, I say to you, If a man's birth is not from water
and from the Spirit, it is not possible for him to go into the kingdom
of God. That which has birth from the flesh is flesh, and that which has
birth from the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I say to you,
It is necessary for you to have a second birth." (John 3:5-7 BBE) Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
- Jesus
said, "See, I am waiting at the door and giving the sign; if my voice
comes to any man's ears and he makes the door open, I will come in to
him..." (Revelation 3:20 BBE)
When you receive
Christ into your life it involves turning away from the sinful things in
the world, trusting that God will forgive those sins you have committed
and help you to be the kind od person He wants you to be. Just agreeing
that Jesus is the Son of God and can forgive sins is not enough, nor is an
emotional or spiritual experience. You have to make a conscious desision
to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
